Expand Your Knowledge at Penn State

ANNOUNCING A NEW WORKSHOP TOPIC FOR 2010:

MACROMOLECULAR X-RAY CRYSTALLOGRAPHY

Hands-on biotechnology training is offered by the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology through a popular series, which provides important technical information and new approaches to biotechnology research and development through lectures and laboratory work.

Whether you are new to the field of biotechnology or an experienced scientist who wishes to expand your knowledge and skills, the Penn State Biotechnology Training Programs will provide you with important technical information, as well as new ideas and approaches to biotechnology research and development. Our faculty for the lectures and hands-on laboratories are research scientists and professors from Penn State University, and, technical representatives, consultants, and executives from major industries currently practicing in the field of biotechnology.

Our courses are divided between theoretical lectures and hands-on laboratory exercises. This, coupled with small class size helps to enhance learning and answer questions that may be specific to your own interests and needs. Informal discussions with faculty and other participants on practical solutions and new approaches to biotechnology and bioprocessing problems complement the laboratory activities.
