Registration

 

 

Registration for the 2010 Biotechnology Training workshops will be available in the near future. Please check back or you may contact the Program Assistant, Nancy J. Wilson, to be placed on a registration notification list and you will be notified when registration is available.

Register for a course: We advise registering as early as possible to avoid filled classes.

 

Returning participant? Member of a group of 2 or more from the same company/institution attending the same training program on a specific date? If so, a 10%fee discount at the time of registration is available. Please contact Nancy J. Wilson, Program Assistant, at njw12@psu.edu or 814-863-1918 to obtain the discount code prior to registration.

Registration General Information

The registration form must be accompanied by full payment of published fees. Participants will receive a written confirmation, which is required for participation. Please ensure that a confirmation of registration has been received from Penn State before making travel arrangements. Registration and attendance in class will not be permitted prior to receipt of full payment. Seats in workshops are assigned in the order full payment is received.

The registration fee for each course covers instruction, a bound volume of course and lab notes, refreshment breaks, a Welcome Reception, first day lunch, and a banquet. Registrants are responsible for housing and all other meals. The fee may be paid by check, money order, purchase order, or credit card.

Register online with your credit card or complete the registration form and return with fee to Penn State with payment.

 

You will be notified promptly of any cancellations and schedule or program changes. A confirmation of enrollment in the program, as well as information on travel, accommodations, final registration on the first day of class and parking, will be sent to you electronically after payment has been received. If you require a receipt of your payment, please make this request at the time of registration. Final Registration is held in 304 Forest Resources Laboratory from 8-8:30 a.m. on the first day of the program.

Refund Policy

For cancellations received more than four weeks prior to the start date of each course a full refund of registration fees can be made. Cancellations made four weeks or less of the course start date will result in forfeiture of registration fees or the participant can elect to register for another future course of equal or lesser value without additional fees.

Parking

Parking on campus next to the Forest Resources Lab is available.

Please be sure to request a parking permit from the Biotechnology Training Program offices upon your arrival.

Cancellation of Registration

The University may cancel or postpone any course or activity because of insufficient enrollment or other unforeseen circumstances. If a program is cancelled or postponed, the University will refund registration fees but cannot be held responsible for any other related costs, charges, or expenses, including cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines or travel agencies.

 

Accommodations

Participants are responsible for making housing arrangements. Please visit the accommodations page for more information on hotels. Information regarding the room blocks at the Atherton Hotel area is included in the confirmation electronically mailed after registration is received and processed.
